NEET UG 2026: NTA Opens Fee Refund Window For The Last Time

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has again opened a fee refund window on its portal for one last time for candidates to correct or update their bank account details for the refund of NEET UG 2026 held on May 3, 2026. This is a final call for candidates to make any corrections or if they want to change their decision to opt for ‘No Refund’ for the exam. 

What Will Candidates See on the Portal? 

Once the candidates have logged in, they can see their bank account details already submitted by them. Candidates can proceed in any of the following ways: 

If the bank details are correct

You can tick the checkbox on the screen, confirming that the Bank Account Number and IFSC Code are correct and that you want the refund in the said account. 

If the bank details are incorrect, or were not submitted earlier

You can update or enter the bank account details and IFSC code again on the portal. 

If you do not want the refund

You can select the option of ‘No Refund’, and NTA will not process the refund. 

Note: If you earlier opted for ‘No Refund’ and now wish to receive it, you can change your option in the same window.

Security Measure

To make sure your financial information is secured, access to the portal is only available through OTP-based Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) using your registered mobile number

Step-by-Step Process

Go to the official NEET website - https://neet.nta.nic.in/ and select “Bank Account Details Confirmation / Updation". 

Log in using the Application Number and Password

Complete the OTP-based authentication on your registered mobile number 

Click the bank account details button on the screen and choose one of the following: 

  • Confirm the existing details by ticking the checkbox and select the Confirm bank details button, 
  • Or update the details by clicking on the click here link and entering the correct Beneficiary Name, Bank Account Number, Re-enter Bank Account Number, Bank Name, and IFSC Code 
  • Or choose ‘No Refund’, if you don’t want the refund

Upload a scanned copy of a cancelled cheque or the first page of the bank passbook showing the account number and IFSC code. 

Submit the form. 

Important Information For Candidates

  • Make sure you carefully enter or confirm the bank account details. The refund will be transferred only to the account number and IFSC code confirmed by the candidate on the portal. The NTA will not be responsible for refunds transferred to incorrect accounts due to wrong, incomplete, or unverified entries. 
  • Your bank account must be active and stand in your name or your parent’s name
  • Never share your login credentials, OTP, or bank details with anyone.  The NTA will never call or message candidates asking for OTP or passwords 
  • Once the window is closed, the bank account details will not be changed under any circumstances
  • The NTA will refund the exam fee at the earliest and advises the candidates to fully cooperate in this process for a timely refund to their account.
